The Senior Manager, New Business Development for the healthcare segment, is a senior, hands-on individual contributor responsible for driving new revenue growth through proactive outreach, pipeline development, and consultative selling. This role is highly results-driven and hands-on, focused on identifying prospects, leading early-stage conversations, crafting tailored solutions, and advancing opportunities through the full sales cycle.
This position contributes to Connexio’s healthcare new business strategy, collaborates cross-functionally on marketing initiatives, and supports scalable growth aligned with Connexio’s objectives.
Proactively build and manage a personal pipeline through direct outreach, networking, and targeted prospecting
Conduct discovery calls, needs assessments, and solution presentations
Partner with internal team members to develop tailored proposals and recommendations
Advance opportunities through each sales stage—from lead identification to close
Maintain accurate CRM updates and revenue forecasting
Build relationships with healthcare decision-makers and partners
Represent Connexio at industry events
Stay current on market dynamics and competitive offerings
Act as a senior contributor on high-priority or complex opportunities
Partner with Operations, Marketing, and Client Services on solution development and positioning
Collaborate with Marketing on targeting, messaging, and outbound campaigns
Support account transitions and onboarding planning following new business wins
Encourage a mindset of curiosity, teamwork, ownership, and continuous improvement
Meet or exceed individual new business revenue targets
Provide insight into pipeline trends and opportunity risks
Contribute to the refinement of sales playbooks, messaging, and outreach strategies
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations, maintaining high levels of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical judgment
5–7+ years of experience in healthcare sales, business development, or commercialization
Demonstrated success with hands-on prospecting, outbound sales, and consultative selling
Strong understanding of healthcare delivery and distribution models, commercialization pathways, and multi-tier networks
Experience developing tailored solutions and positioning service-based offerings
Proficiency with CRM systems, pipeline management, and forecasting
Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Solid foundation in sales and marketing, including go-to-market planning and revenue acceleration strategies
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and project planning tools
Strong organizational, prioritization, and project management skills with disciplined follow-through
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, digital-first, remote environment
High degree of emotional intelligence, professional maturity, and customer-focused judgment
Self-motivated, high initiative, and driven to generate pipeline and deliver results
Strategic curiosity paired with practical, hands-on execution
Familiarity with emerging marketing technologies, tools, and healthcare industry best practices
